I’m Elody—an author and visual artist. This page stays intentionally simple: one featured project, an occasional freebie, and a studio corner for art and merch when it’s ready.

Can I Have a Biscuit, Please? is a heartwarming story inspired by a simple question that turns into something much bigger. Through gentle storytelling and joyful illustrations, children discover how courage, friendship, and kindness can grow in the most unexpected moments—reminding us that sometimes the sweetest things in life aren’t treats, but the connections we share.
Elody Ord is a lifelong creative with a vivid imagination and a deep love of storytelling. As a child, she was almost always creating—drawing, painting, and exploring any art form that could bring her ideas to life.
She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a minor in Photography (back when “dark rooms” were still a real thing), and she’s always been drawn to the stories behind everyday moments. In her early twenties, she began journaling—quietly collecting ideas that later became story seeds.
Motherhood brought everything together. Inspired by her children, and the late dog who was by her side through much of early adulthood, she felt called to turn beloved stories into books. Today, Elody creates children’s stories and reflective, self-healing work— blending warm narratives with original illustration.
